I have nine years experience specifically in information architecture, interaction design and UCD multimedia development, mostly with Web applications. I have management experience spanning several fields, including theatrical stage management and leadership roles in Web application development and production. For 2 years I helped run Imagesmith, a Santa Cruz, CA-based Web development firm providing user experience, site architecture, design and multimedia services to clients in the Silicon Valley. I have taught a course in Information Architecture at Cabrillo Community College, as well as a weekend course for UC Santa Cruz Extension.

User Experience Manager, Oracle - May 2005 to Present

  • Member of Applications User Experience management team for Oracle.
  • Leader of a small team of User Experience professionals providing support to the Project Management suite of business applications.

Senior Interaction Designer, Oracle|PeopleSoft - September 2003 to May 2005

  • Member of User Experience team for Supply Chain Management product line.
  • Owner of the user interface for several products encompassing the Customer Fulfillment Management Suite, including Order Management and Billing.
  • Conducted user and field research including, site visits and user interviews.
  • Conducted and presented heuristic evaluations and usability evaluations to Development staff.
  • Produced wire frames, interaction flows, and high-fidelity mockups.

Freelance Information Architect - August 2001 to present

  • Worked with development firms in SF Bay Area as contract team member, smoothly integrating a user-centered design process.
  • Worked directly with clients as contract IA to supplement their internal teams.
  • Designed UI wire frames and mockups.
